From Local Sparkle to Global Shine: LTJ Goes Global

Les trouvailles de Jen owner packing order

Les trouvailles de Jen, founded by Jennifer Guay-Gozzi in 2020, has become a staple in Quebec for affordable, stylish, and non-tarnish stainless steel jewellery. With a devoted customer base and a rapidly growing presence, Jen’s journey is about to get even more exciting - she’s a proud winner of the Grow Your Global contest.

Jen’s jewellery brand stands out with thoughtful, in-house designs and surprisingly accessible prices. Everything is under $35, and every piece is made to be worn anywhere - shower, ocean, or pool - without turning green or blue. What started with Jen hand-picking products has, through her dedication, evolved into collections designed by her and her growing team. Today, most Les trouvailles de Jen sales still happen in-store, but online growth is strong and ready to expand beyond borders.

Jewellery that Travels the World

Thanks to the $20,000 Grow Your Global winnings, Jen is set to accelerate her expansion. Half of the funds are dedicated to international shipping, essential for a jewellery line that’s lightweight and easy to ship worldwide. The other half is allocated for business coaching and strategic investments. Jen is eager to work with her coach to design an accurate growth roadmap, improve her marketing, and optimize logistics.

I'm excited to work with a coach and take Les trouvailles de Jen to the next level, there's so much more I want to accomplish,” she shares.

Turning Obstacles into Opportunities

Turning Obstacles into Opportunities

Entering international markets has brought its challenges, but Jen’s adaptability and determination have helped her turn obstacles into opportunities. Navigating customs and local regulations required creative problem-solving, and managing shipping logistics meant finding reliable partners. With the support of DHL’s logistics network, Les trouvailles de Jen is able to deliver jewellery to customers quickly and efficiently while keeping the experience as smooth as possible.

This hands-on approach extends to every part of the business. “I had to figure out everything - design, photography, sales, and logistics. Partnering with DHL has made a big difference in simplifying shipping and reaching customers around the world. It’s been a steep learning curve, but all worth it to see people love our jewellery.

From Quebec to the World

From Quebec to the World

For Jen, the decision to go global is natural: "If something works and connects with people here, why not share it with the world?" She hopes other Canadian small businesses will take the leap too - testing international waters, adapting quickly, and not waiting for perfection.

Her advice: Start small, experiment with new marketing channels, and don’t be afraid to fail. “You learn what works, then you can scale up. You don’t have to wait until everything is perfect. Sometimes, taking the first step is the most important part.”

What's Next for Les trouvailles de Jen

Looking ahead, Jen’s goals are sparkling clear. She envisions expanding across North America first, with the long-term dream of seeing Les trouvailles de Jen jewellery on store shelves around the globe. Building retail and wholesale partnerships is now on her radar, and she’s excited about participating in international trade shows.

Pop-up retail experiences have been pivotal for Les trouvaille de Jen's local success, and she plans to adapt this personal, community-driven approach to international markets - whether through boutique placements, trade show pop-ups, or collaborations with overseas retailers.

Jen credits the Grow Your Global contest with providing exactly what Les trouvaille de Jen needs for the next step: “The stipend and coaching are not just financial support, they give me the confidence and tools to make smart choices and turn my dreams into plans.
