DHL EXPRESS UK JOINS FORCES WITH AIR AMBULANCES UK TO HELP KEEP CRITICAL CARE TEAMS FLYING
Air Ambulances UK (AAUK), the national charity supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s 21 air ambulance charities, is proud to announce a new national partnership with DHL Express UK, the global logistics company.
Through this partnership, DHL Express UK will raise funds to support the critical work of air ambulance charities across the UK. Donations will be distributed evenly across all 21 charities, helping ensure crews can continue to deliver advanced pre-hospital care to people experiencing life-threatening injury or illness.
As part of the partnership, DHL Express UK is encouraging local engagement, giving staff the opportunity to volunteer and support their local air ambulance charity, helping to strengthen the connection between communities and lifesaving services.
Mark Heaven, Head of Corporate Fundraising at Air Ambulances UK, said:
"We are delighted to welcome DHL as a national partner. Their support will make a real difference to air ambulance charities across the UK, helping ensure critical care teams can respond quickly and effectively. By engaging their staff in fundraising and volunteering, DHL is helping bring communities closer to the vital work of air ambulance crews every day."
John Cornish, CEO at DHL Express UK, said:
“The lifesaving work of Air Ambulances UK is something that genuinely resonates with our colleagues, many of whom spend their working hours driving across the UK. Serious accidents on the road demand rapid, specialist care, and air ambulance crews are often the vital link between the scene and hospital treatment. We’re proud to support AAUK’s work, helping ensure these teams can continue delivering advanced care when every second matters".
Air ambulance charities carry out an average of 134 missions every day — each funded almost entirely by the generosity of the public, supporters, and partners. This partnership will help fund lifesaving care and raise awareness of the challenges these charities face in delivering emergency response and critical care across the UK.
