DHL Express UK today announces the roll-out of Verified Delivery, a new service feature designed to enhance the final mile security of high-value shipments.

Verified Delivery is an optional feature that requires verification at the point of delivery, where the recipient is asked to present a unique QR code transmitted to them in advance alongside standard tracking information. The process is designed to be both secure and user-friendly, with no additional technical requirements for the recipient beyond access to the QR code on a mobile device or in printed form. The service is ideal for shipments containing expensive electronics, luxury items or other valuable goods, with the added verification step helping to mitigate the risks of fraud, unauthorised receipt, or misdelivery.

Mike Clark, Senior Director Operations Programmes and Performance at DHL Express says: “Our Verified Delivery service is a testament to our customer-first approach and reflects our commitment to continually raising the bar on shipment security. By investing in smart, secure solutions, we are able to meet the evolving needs of businesses and consumers and provide a more seamless delivery experience”.

Verified Delivery is now available in 24 countries, including major e-commerce markets such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, and France. DHL Express has confirmed plans to extend the service to 10 additional countries by the end of September 2025, including China, Japan, and the UAE.
