The Covid-19 crisis in the year 2020 has changed the way we work, with most individuals having to alter, adjust, and adapt to a new working environment. Many companies including DHL Express took drastic measures to keep their operations running and ensure the safety of their employees and customers. DHL Express has managed to continue its service even during circuit breaker and able to deliver excellent service to its customers amidst the pandemic.
DHL Express Singapore has proved resilient amid unprecedented trials by being named as number one in Singapore Best Workplaces™ 2020 by Great Place to Work Institute. The leading international courier in Singapore has reached a high Trust Index Survey result at 96% in 2020. The virtual event took place last 21 December 2020 and was officiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat together with Manpower Minister Josephine Teo.
In 2019, DHL Express climbed from #6 to #3 in the ranking but in 2020 it moved up two ranks to clinch first place in the category of ‘Medium and Large’ workplaces. DHL Express has kept its delivery efficiency and speed while practicing a high level of safety. Aside from sustaining international delivery operations and meeting customers’ demands, the company’s main priority is also taking care of its people’s health and providing support to its employees to help them reach their full potential.
“Being named Singapore’s Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work® in this exceptional year is an incredible affirmation that we have been doing right by our people and our business despite the unprecedented challenges and disruptions. Words cannot express our appreciation to all our DHL employees who have not only shown great resilience but have risen to the occasion and gone beyond their line of duty to be a lifeline to many lives and livelihoods,” says Christopher Ong, Managing Director, DHL Express Singapore.
