At DHL Express, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful partnerships. That’s why we were delighted to collaborate with Bohemian FC, in our role as the club’s official logistics partner, to create a memorable football experience for young players from Hartstown Huntstown FC.
Supporting grassroots football in Ireland and promoting the continued development of women’s football are key elements of our partnership with Bohemian FC. Through this collaboration, we had the opportunity to offer an incredible prize to one lucky club — the chance for their young players to train with the Bohemian FC women’s manager alongside members of the women’s squad.
The training session welcomed four teams from Hartstown Huntstown FC, with players from the U10, U11, U12 and U13 age groups taking part. It was fantastic to see such strong participation from young athletes who are passionate about football and eager to develop their skills.
The manager and players worked hard to create an engaging session for all the participants by enabling the different age groups to practice all aspects of the game – passing, ball control, movement and teamwork!
Grassroots initiatives like this help create opportunities for young people, promote healthy lifestyles and encourage participation in sport. At the same time, showcasing the leadership and talent within the Bohemian FC women’s squad highlights the continued growth of women’s football in Ireland.
For many of the young players, meeting and training with members of the Bohemian FC women’s team was a truly inspiring experience. From sharing goal-winning celebration dance moves to snapping selfies, the day created lasting memories for everyone involved. Having access to role models competing at a high level of the game will no doubt motivate these young players to continue developing their football skills.
