UK-South Korea trade deal to boost jobs and exports
The UK and South Korea have finalised an upgraded free trade deal that will unlock permanent tariff-free access across 98% of tariff lines. The deal is expected to boost UK services exports by £400 million and enhance access to South Korea’s financial market, while supporting thousands of jobs and boosting economic growth. William Bain, Head of Trade Policy at the BCC, said: “We now have the potential to boost trade and investment levels ever higher, with the world’s 12th biggest economy at the heart of a fast-growing economic region.”
