New Trade Strategy to protect and boost British business
The UK has launched its first Trade Strategy since Brexit, aiming to unlock £5 billion for businesses. This strategy looks to deliver quicker deals, particularly in services and high-growth sectors, to improve access to global markets and encourage economic growth. Key highlights of the strategy include the Ricardo Fund which will address regulatory challenges for UK exporters, an increase in UKEF's capacity to support smaller firms, and a commitment to strengthening trade defences against unfair practices.
