This year, International Trade Week will take place from 3 to 7 November, offering a series of free trade-focused business events. The initiative aims to support British businesses with exporting goods and services, helping to increase wages, create jobs, and boost the economy. The Scottish Government has published a refresh of its trade strategy “a trading nation” which identified six new "special interest markets" for export promotion activity. These are: Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore and Ukraine. Speaking in the Scottish Parliament about growing Scotland's exports, Deputy First Minister, Kate Forbes, reaffirmed the commitment to supporting exporters and announced a new export plan focused specifically on the US.
