
Record-breaking £150bn investment unveiled during US state visit
A landmark £150 billion investment from US companies has been revealed, the largest ever tied to a state visit. The investment is expected to create 7,600 high-quality jobs across the country in sectors including clean energy, manufacturing, and life sciences, with hopes of boosting the UK economy by enhancing communities and driving growth. Major contributions include £100bn from Blackstone and £3.9bn from Prologis.

DHL Express has announced a new phase in its ongoing partnership with Cambridge University Press & Assessment (CUPA), demonstrating significant efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The collaboration leverages DHL’s GoGreen Plus, a service that gives customers the choice to reduce logistics related greenhouse gas emissions. CUPA identified that freight was accounting for around 25% of their measured emissions. The use of GoGreen Plus is expected to reduce their carbon footprint by c. 1,500+ tonnes CO2e WtW^ annually.
