A DHL courier pickup in Brazil works like this: you create the shipment on MyDHL+, choose the date and time window, and the courier collects the parcel from your address. You do not need a company or a trip across town. If you prefer face-to-face service, a DHL store or WhatsApp handles the same shipment.
Quick summary
- Three ways to ship: pickup at your address through MyDHL+, a DHL store, or WhatsApp.
- The pickup is booked online, and the shipment can be paid by credit card.
- Every parcel collected must carry the DHL label.
- You can change or cancel the pickup on MyDHL+ before the scheduled window.
- The CLICK15 coupon gives 15% off international shipments made on MyDHL+, valid until 31 December 2026.
Store, WhatsApp or pickup: which channel should you choose?
You choose where and how to ship. All three channels lead to the same DHL Express service, within Brazil and abroad. What changes is who prepares the shipment and where the parcel leaves from.
Channel | How it works | Best for |
Pickup at your address | You create the shipment on MyDHL+ and book the pickup. The courier collects the parcel. | People who know what they are sending and want to sort it out without leaving home. |
DHL store | You bring the parcel, and the team packs it, prepares the paperwork and dispatches it. | A first shipment, or doubts about packaging and documents. |
A specialist guides the shipment and points you to the best route before you leave home. | People who want answers before deciding. |
To talk to a specialist, message DHL on WhatsApp +55 11 94037-2982. For in-person service, find the nearest DHL store.
How do you schedule a DHL pickup on MyDHL+?
MyDHL+ is the DHL Express online platform for creating labels, getting quotes, scheduling pickups and tracking shipments. Booking takes a few minutes and follows four steps.
Go to MyDHL+ and choose to create a shipment.
Fill in the details online: origin, destination, contents, weight and dimensions. Select pickup at your address.
Pay for the shipment by credit card.
Print the DHL label and attach it to the parcel. On the chosen day, the courier comes to collect it.
If your label is already done, the route is shorter: in the Ship menu, the Schedule a Pickup option first asks whether you need to create a label or already have one. DHL itself states that the label must be on every package it collects. Source: MyDHL+ Brazil, Schedule a Pickup, October 2026.
What information should you have ready before booking?
Gathering the details first saves you going back and forth on the form. For a pickup, what matters is that the courier finds the right place and someone with the parcel ready.
The full pickup address, with number, unit and neighbourhood.
A note on where the parcel will be, such as the front desk, reception or a room number.
The number of pieces, with the weight and dimensions of each.
The name, phone and email of the person handing the parcel to the courier.
If you already have a DHL Express account, the account number.
How do you check the price and transit time before booking?
Before you confirm the shipment, run a quote. On MyDHL+, the Get a Rate and Time Quote option shows the services available on your route, with the price and estimated delivery date for each.
The quote asks for only a few details:
Origin and destination of the shipment.
Weight of the parcel, in kilograms.
Dimensions of the parcel: length, width and height, in centimetres.
Whether you are sending documents or goods.
With the quote on screen, you can compare options and decide whether it is worth paying for time definite delivery or whether the standard transit time is enough. At a DHL store, the team runs these numbers with you at the counter.
How does volumetric weight affect the price?
The price reflects the weight of the parcel and also the space it takes up. This is called volumetric weight, and it matters most for light, bulky parcels such as a box of pillows.
DHL Express calculates volumetric weight like this:
(Length × Width × Height, in centimetres) ÷ 5,000
The higher of the two applies: the weight on the scale or the volumetric weight. That is why a box that fits its contents usually costs less. See how to pack a parcel without paying for empty space. Source: DHL Express Service and Rate Guide 2026, Brazil.
What should be ready before the courier arrives?
The courier works to a route and a schedule. The more prepared the parcel is, the quicker the pickup. Four habits cover almost everything:
Seal the box well and attach the DHL label to a flat side, with no folds and no tape over the barcode.
For an international shipment of goods, have the commercial invoice that MyDHL+ generates with the label.
Leave the parcel at the agreed spot and let the front desk or reception know about the pickup.
Make sure someone is at the address for the whole booked window, with a phone nearby.
What gets in the way of a pickup, and how do you avoid it?
Most pickups go ahead without a hitch. When something does stall, it is nearly always for one of these five reasons, and all of them are easy to avoid:
Nobody at the address at pickup time
This happens when the booked window does not match the routine of the address. Check the date and window before confirming, and arrange for someone to hand the parcel to the courier.
Incorrect or incomplete address
A wrong number or a missing unit is enough to confuse the route. Review the address and add a location note, such as "reception, 2nd floor".
A parcel that is not ready yet
An open box or a missing label delays the pickup. Have everything sealed and labelled before the agreed time.
Missing or incorrect paperwork
An international shipment needs the label and, for goods, the customs documents. Without them, the courier may not take the parcel. See the guide to shipping documents or ask for help at a DHL store.
No contact on site
If the courier cannot reach anyone, the pickup may not happen. Give a phone number that will be answered and, if you can, a second contact.
Can you change or cancel a scheduled pickup?
Yes, as long as you do it before the scheduled window. Once the pickup window has started, MyDHL+ no longer allows changes or cancellations, and the route is DHL Customer Service. Source: MyDHL+ Brazil, Courier Pickup FAQs, October 2026.
The same page covers two less common situations. If the courier arrives and cannot take the parcel, because of a prohibited item or missing paperwork, DHL helps arrange a new pickup or a refund. If the shipment is too large or heavy for the vehicle, the pickup may need special equipment and should be arranged with Customer Service.
How do you follow the shipment after pickup?
Every shipment gets a unique waybill number. With it, you track the parcel from pickup to delivery, on MyDHL+ or on DHL tracking. The guide on tracking an international parcel explains what each stage means.
Is there a discount for shipping on MyDHL+?
There is. The CLICK15 coupon gives 15% off international shipments made on MyDHL+ and is valid until 31 December 2026, according to DHL Express Brazil. You enter the code before payment. Other current coupons are listed on the DHL discount coupons page.

Can I request a pickup without a label?
The DHL label must be attached to every package collected. If you do not have one yet, booking on MyDHL+ takes you to label creation.
